Welcome to the 18th on the 18th edition of Screenprints & Gigposters of the week brought to you by HALFTONE DEF STUDIOS. This installment is inspired simply by Dennis from Thought and Theory sending me an email that said…”Dope Shit” and me agreeing. The Guys over at Spike Press having got thier shit together like cow pies. Ive been very interested lately with illustrations that have very clean design but the edges are bleeding and rough just enough to give it that old school feel. You where you see something from a distance and it looks very clean but when you get up close there is so much detail in the line work…Fascinating! I was told the old way to do that was either to draw it out on a piece of porous paper with a pen or xerox over and over again, but that now a days, copiers work to well. But anyway, I am totally in love with that National poster with the hallway, wood floor, and boxes, So Rad! And I love the typography on each too, well thought out, well done.
